Q.Why are our burgers and sausages so delicious? A. We make them all ourselves which means we control the quality, the meat content, the seasonings and the distinct absence of artificial flavour enhancers of colours, ensuring a delicious product everytime you buy a Lakeland Picnic, wherever that may be. We use quality beef, traditional breed pork together with regional pork and Cumbrian lamb for our meat based products. They are produced by us in the Savin Hill butchery which is located in the beautiful Lyth Valley not too far from the shores of Lake Windermere. These yummy meats are teamed with regional chutneys and sauces from Claire's Handmade based near Wigton in Cumbria or if you fancy something that gives a bit of a kick then try them with some Cumberland Mustard from Geoff and Marlyn at Alston. If you're feeling that you'd like to pop some cheese on top then you can go for either a Lancashire mild and creamy or perhaps a Lancashire Blue (this is really good with the lamb burgers by the way) All served on lovely soft regionally made breads.
